KZN and India Forge Closer Economic Ties

Trade & Investment KwaZulu-Natal and the Consulate of India in Durban hosted business leaders, experts, and government representatives to discuss strategies for doing business between KwaZulu-Natal and India.

EDTEA MEC Rev MEC Zondi said the focus on enhancing trade, technology, infrastructure, and tourism investment, couldn’t have come at a better time. “I say this because these sectors are pivotal to both India and South Africa’s economic growth and resilience, and through continued cooperation, we can unlock untapped potential to benefit both nations.” He welcomed the collaboration, thanking High Commissioner of India Shri Prabhat Kumar, and the Consuls General of India in Durban, Johannesburg and Cape Town, Dr Thelma John Davi, Mahesh Kumar and Subba Rao, respectively.

The event was held at the recently reopened landmark Hilton Hotel in Durban.
