KZN exporters meet with global buyers

Trade & Investment KwaZulu-Natal participated in Engage Trade Africa, hosting 24 local companies to connect with buyers from around the world. The four-day event, held from 27 to 30 October 2025, facilitates trade between Africa and global markets through structured B2B matchmaking, connecting African producers with leading international buyers and partners.
The programme commenced with a conference component at the Blue Waters Hotel in Durban, where Engage Trade Africa continues to empower businesses with the knowledge and resources needed to compete in today’s global marketplace. By bridging the gap between African enterprises and international markets, the platform plays a key role in driving sustainable economic development and fostering long-term growth across the continent.
The first day was dedicated to the conference, during which TIKZN CEO Sihle Ngcamu presented KwaZulu-Natal’s value proposition to an international audience. Investment Promotion Executive Innocent Hlongwana and Export Executive Claude Moodley further showcased the province’s investment opportunities and highlighted TIKZN’s trade support services.
The remaining three days focused on business matchmaking, where KwaZulu-Natal manufacturers engaged directly with more than 500 potential buyers. These structured one-on-one meetings enabled the establishment of meaningful connections and the exploration of new trade opportunities, positioning local businesses for expanded market access and export growth.
