MEC Rev Musa Zondi Appoints New Board of Directors for Trade & Investment KwaZulu-Natal

The MEC for Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs Rev Musa Zondi, is pleased to announce the appointment of a new board of directors for Trade & Investment KwaZulu-Natal (TIKZN). The nine-member board, appointed this week, comprises distinguished individuals with experience across business, academia, law and civil society, who will serve for a term of five years until 2030.
This strategic appointment comes at a pivotal moment as TIKZN prepares to roll out its new Strategic Plan 2025-2030. The incoming board will play a crucial role in providing governance oversight, strategic guidance, and accountability as the entity works toward its vision of being the premier partner in growing an inclusive economy in KwaZulu-Natal through sustainable trade and investment.
Welcoming the new board, Rev Zondi said; “The men and women we have appointed to TIKZN’s Board, are more than capable of providing governance oversight to the entity. Their collective commitment to economic advancement and provincial development will serve as a catalyst for TIKZN’s continued success and institutional excellence.”
The appointment aligns with the provincial government’s commitment to good governance and ensuring that public entities are led by qualified and experienced professionals who can drive sustainable economic growth. The new board will oversee TIKZN as it executes its mandate to attract both domestic and international investment while promoting export opportunities for local businesses.
The members of the new TIKZN Board of Directors are:
