TIKZN BUSINESS SUPPORT FUND

TIKZN ’s response to the challenges brought about by the unrest in July, has been premised on collaboration across Government. The unrest in July 2021 affected growth, employment, transformation and investor confidence in the domestic economy. To mitigate the damage caused, TIKZN in collaboration with its strategic partners launched a special fund to support the affected SMMEs in urban, rural and in the township areas, to restore what has been lost, preserve jobs and continue with efforts to re-industrialise the economy.

The closing date is the 01 November 2021. Applications submitted post the closing date will not be considered.

The Business Support Desk is an initiative of the Province of KwaZulu-Natal Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (EDTEA) and

Trade & Investment KwaZulu-Natal (TIKZN) designed for companies to log business enquiries and access information on business support.

This portal is for businesses based in the Province of KwaZulu-Natal which were affected by the unrest, looting and damages to business property during the period 10th – 16th July 2021.

In accordance to the Province of KwaZulu-Natal Economic Recovery Plans, all economic development partners and stakeholders are working in collaboration to rebuild and rise to support business continuity and the retention of jobs in order to create an inclusive economy for the growth and prosperity of our country.
